Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. Violating it may result in
throttling, suspension, or termination, and may be reported to authorities where required.
1You must not
- Use the Service in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right, or to facilitate anything unlawful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent; or defeat or circumvent authentication, rate limits, or usage metering.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example through denial-of-service traffic, excessive or abusive request volumes, or injecting malware.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, or attempt to extract source code, models, or the underlying tax rulesets, except to the limited extent that mandatory law expressly permits.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract the Service's data or outputs to build or train a competing product, dataset, or model.
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or provide the Service or API keys to third parties, or use one account or key on behalf of unrelated parties, except under a separate written agreement with us.
- Share, publish, or embed API keys in client-side code, public repositories, or anywhere they can be extracted.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or remove or obscure any proprietary notice.
- Submit data you do not have the right to submit, or submit unnecessary sensitive personal data (such as Social Security numbers) that the calculation does not require.
2Your responsibilities
- Keep API keys confidential and server-side; you are responsible for all activity under your keys.
- Respect published rate limits and back off on
429responses. - Independently verify calculation results before relying on them, and meet your own filing and deposit obligations (see the Disclaimer).
- Keep your account and billing information accurate and current.
3Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may throttle, suspend, revoke keys, or terminate access, with or without notice, to protect the Service and others. We may preserve and disclose information where required by law or to enforce this policy. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version governs your use.
4Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse, security issues, or exposed keys to security@omniatax.io.
